Written to Distraction page one
I have horrible vision, but it is correctable. My eyes are healthy but warped. When I read or paint I tend to see color where it may not be seen by others. This is especially true when I read. So...I find myself compelled to make suggestions of writing in a series of paintings which follows.

Thank you for visiting Philip. Yes, I have a number of these pieces. I haven't posted many but think I will update my dotcom website to add the newer pieces. I know galleries tend not to want to see artists with more than one direction. I have always had an experimental side and love exploring the pigment itself. Ron Watson from Aquinas College and now Texas Christian University helped liberate that aspect of my art.
